Association Roma Zavet-2003

Association Roma Zavet-2003 is a non-government private volunteer organisation. It was registered at the Razgrad Regional Court on 15.12.2003 according to the Not-for-profit Entities Law. Its founding members are 21.

The main goal of the Association is the improvement of the social and economic status and the full integration of the Roma from North East Bulgaria.

The Association’s management bodies are:
- The General Assembly – supreme body
- Board of Directors – management body
- Control Council – control body

The General Assembly approves the main goals and programmes for the Association’s activities, elects working groups for resolving of specific problems related to the execution of the main goals as well as makes other decisions in accordance with its Statute and the Law.

1. Improvement of the social and economic status of the Roma
2. Full integration of the Roma from North East Bulgaria

We achieve our goals by:
1. Raising the education of the Roma
2. Promotion of the social and economic status of the Roma community
3. Development and support of income generating strategies for members of disadvantaged Roma communities by pilot projects
4. Efficient overall social development practices in disadvantaged Roma communities
5. Encouragement, promotion and support of cooperation between the Roma organisations and the local, regional and national institutions
